Dragonlaire was set aside by the God Drakonia for the Dragons she created. They lived peacefully until King Varius sailed from his Kingdom into the Vast expanse of Dragonlaire after he was dethroned by his peasants for his cruelty. He and his subjects built Dragonrend. From there he slaughtered and hunted down the Dragons into near extinction. Drakonia, god of all Dragons, threw a mystical Flaming Spear into Varius' black heart killing him.
His three sons then battled for the control of the land. This conflict continues today.
